At the entrance to your house, one of the key Feng Shui items to place is a mirror. Place a Feng Shui mirror on either side of the entrance. If you place one on the left, this will bring you more financial luck, if you place it on the right, this will bring you fortune in your career. Also have a small plate with salt pointed upwards to place in your entrance or on your entrance table - this purifies the space at the entrance to your home and allows good fortune to enter. Circular things such as a ball or even an apple are thought to also attract and invite good fortune to the house.
Dragons, dragon tortoises and other Feng Shui items that bring about good fortune for wealth should also be placed here - if you have a dragon, make sure you also place water with it as the dragon is a spirit that is most comfortable and strongest around water. If possible, have a small fountain or a device that moves water so the water creates flowing energy at the entrance.
In the living room, one way to usher in good fortune for you and your family is to have a medium to large pot plant bringing in fortune in the form of natural energy to the central room in your house. Having simple curtains rather than big heavy patterned ones helps bring about family fortune as heavier gaudy curtains make it difficult for energy to come in. Where possible, and where you are able to choose, have your floor made in natural materials, e.g. wood or bamboo rather than concrete, metal, etc. It is important to have as much natural energy flowing through the central room of your house as possible.
In your dining room, again, it is ideal to have a big wooden or other natural material-made table and chairs, increasing power both in the room and within the bond of the people that gather to eat around the table.
In the bedroom, a stand for your light rather than solely the light on the ceiling creates better energy and by no means should you have a mirror in the room. Place your bed in the middle of the room where possible as this is where the energy is the strongest.
